Before animal sheltering, I had a career leading international digital marketing campaigns. Sitting in my cubicle one day, working on a campaign for Butterfinger, I realized that my impact on the world was being measured - quite literally - in the number of candy bars I could sell.

For me, it wasn’t enough. I started volunteering at my local animal shelter. I learned two things: First, that it's really hard to get a good photo of a stressed-out pet at intake. Second, because animal care techs are so busy, the intake image is often used to represent pets online.

 

Shelters needed a way to get a good photo online fast, starting at intake. That’s why I started Adoptimize – to create an animal shelter-first technology that generates high-quality pet photos in seconds.

 

It is our mission to make it easier for animal shelters and rescues to support their communities. I'm so proud that Adoptimize has increased adoption rates and reduced operating costs for 200 shelters and counting. Together, we can catalyze the end of population-based euthanasia in the US.
